New Projects

First of all, I wanted to say that if anyone is out there… reading this blog, let yourself be known. Comment or contact, I’d love to hear from you. I definitely would like to meet more people with similar interests. If any of the projects I described here worked for you or if you have any adjustments/enhancements, I’d like to hear those as well!
I’ve been working on a few projects. I recently converted a SVP DC-12DX 12 Mega Pixel digital camera to be a IR camera. The quality is much less then the Digital Concepts project, so I’d like to hear some opinions as to what went wrong with this. I should have that project how-to in a few days.
The other project I’m working on is a IR illuminator kit. I purchased a IR LED illuminator kit where you need to assemble/solder the parts. I also figured out how to wire AA batteries in series to generate the 12 volts to power the illuminator. I’ll be working on the case for it today. As soon as I have a fully assembled the unit, I’ll be writing a post about it. That project has been especially fun for me.

Thanks for the comment! I checked out your blog. Do you have a how-to on the IR strobe? I’m not familiar with the 555 timer IC. Sounds like a fun project.

Hi, I have just discovered your site. I am very interested in the paranormal and would like to do some investigating, but don’t know where to begin. I live in Montana and so far have not been able to find many people with similar interests. I would really like to talk to some people of like mind. Of course I watch every ghost hunter show that is on tv. I am going to Estes Park, CO to do some ghost hunting with the cast of Paranormal State in October which I am very excikted about. I would love to hear from you!

Good to meet another person from MT interested in this stuff. Where are you located? I’m in Missoula.
Awesome to that you’ll be able to attend the Paranormal State hunt in Estes Park. Should be an unbelievable experience (well.. hopefully).

Hello again. I live in Three Forks (30 miles west of Bozeman). Do you know anyone in the Bozeman area that is interested in the paranormal? I was thinking of checking out the Old Montana Prison. Have you ever investigated there?

I don’t know anyone in the Bozeman area. I’m in TSI (paranormal group here in Missoula) and we have investigated the prison a few times. I’ve only gone on one investigation earlier this Spring there. On TSI’s web site, you can see some evidence captured in previous hunts:
